Can privileged white people just stop doing “social experiments” in order to find out shit that minorities have been talking about for centuries? Like, you really need a white Christian girl to try on a hijab for a week to find out that racism and islamophobia is real? There are people across the globe who experience these issues first hand and are reaching out and trying to educate you, but you ignore them to console the Christian girl who can literally just take off the hijab and continue living her normal life? Ok.

A white woman can say that a neighborhood is “sketchy” and most people will smile and nod. She felt unsafe, and we automatically trust her opinion. A black man can tell the world that every day he lives in fear of the police, and suddenly everyone demands statistical evidence to prove that his life experience is real
the weirdest thing about the american education system is that pretty much every teenager ever is so stressed out about schools that they pray for disasters or fake illness or try to kill themselves and yet nobody has ever thought to themselves “hey maybe our system is flawed” and instead all they ever think is “kids these days are so lazy and selfish” like what the fuck is up with that man
especially when our education system has proven that it sucks and has only gotten worse
